It must've been opposite day at IGN's offices when they reviewed it. IGN hates anything and everything sonic related, especially if Mario did it beforehand. So I'm just as confused as you are. Played the demo at a kiosk at best buy. It's a Mario kart clone. Controls fine, just replaced Mario with Sega. Nothing wrong with that I suppose, as long as it's fun.

I was very pleased with the demo. Like I said, it reminded me of Crash Team Racing, which was better than Mario Kart in a lot of ways.

Let's face it, Mario Kart is slow. This game and CTR are pretty darn fast, with this game being faster than CTR.
