I got an old laptop in the mail a few days ago, the perfect DOS machine. It's a Zenith Z-Star EX from 1994. It has 4MB of RAM, an Intel 486DX2 processor, 2 PCMCIA slots, a row of now-outdated ports, a monochromatic DSTN screen and a floppy drive. The floppy drive is important, as I currently do not have a hard drive in it, but I plan on getting a 4GB one very soon, as well as a PCMCIA SD card adapter.

I'm going to have it run MS-DOS 5, which can be networked and I found a wireless card compatible with DOS, believe it or not, and I am going to try to run the Internet via a browser called Arachne.

If it's successful, I'll post on here with probably the oldest computer that has ever been on this site.  :D

So you're going to be playing DOS games authentically?  That sounds like fun.  I don't own any floppies with games on them though.  I don't even know where they all went.  I think we had a Windows ME, Gravis Gamepad, "Dr. Solomon's Anti-Virus S.O.S." Version 7.76 (this one is right in front of me), and some printer disks.

Yeah, and it can display in color when hooked up to an external monitor. I got the card today, I'll try as soon as I get a hard drive.
