Lotos

So I finished drinking my last Mountain Dew Game Fuel.  I was reading the ingredients and the last one was "Brominated Vegetable Oil".  I then get this expression on my face: :| and think I was just drinking caffinated vegetable oil, but it tasted good.  Reminds me of the Futurama episode when they win the contest to go to the Slerm factory and figure out what the ingredient is.

...You like that stuff?

I finally found some at a random gas station, and I bought 3, because I'd heard good stuff about it.
It tasted awful. D:

Brominated?   ???
Think carbonated but with bromine, and the bromine is actually bonded to the vegetable oil.  Bromine is toxic.  :-\

Yeah.  I'm assuming brominated = bromine and that goes into my spa D:
The bromine is bonded with the vegetable oil. Large amounts will kill you. But small amounts makes it the perfect emulsifier.

They keep using big words that I have to click.

*dictionary.coms it*

Damn.  Same thing.

So it keeps the drink together?
It helps mix things that normally can't be mixed. ;)

Oil is less dense than water so it floats on water.

Adding the bromine brings its density to 1, which is equal to that of water, so they don't separate.
