Not necessarily. Sakurai could plan ahead and somehow block Action Replay for online.

That would be a great update ;D
Actually, as far as my knowledge, the Wii update that gave us the digital clock prevented Action Replay from working online. But I'm not sure :-\

I already said this, but I thought Action Replay wouldn't work on Wii because it updates itself, somethin Action Replay can't do. I also heard modifying your Wii without permission from Nintendo would cause your Wii to stop working. So unless Action Replay could update itself or the makers just continuously made new versions to keep up, it wouldn't work.

Sadly, the new Action Replays on consoles that use a lot of online/SD cards (like Wii) can be updated.

The digital clock update only stopped a few Wii modchips from working.

Darn... Looks like this could be the downfall of Brawl online...

It's not like Datel has updates that say "This will make you be able to use the AR on Wii."

It's disguised within the game cheats.

Okay, then Brawl wi-fi still has a chance at suviving.

Dude I am going to get one I can just see playing a Boss Brawl Petey vs Rayquaza. Oh I will never cheat online. Just for fun like I do in melee. Master Hand vs Giga Bowser is always fun :P
Mr. Resetti Vs. Gray Fox for me. :P
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to play as AT's with an Action Replay.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you aren't able to play as Pokemon in Melee, right?
Well the same logic would apply here because essentially, AT's = Pokemon.

Boss battles on the other hand should work.

And since Rayquaza willl probably be a boss according to the Fox's Misfortune update... That'll be fun...
That would be quite fun ;D

I just said that... ;D
I know.

I was only reiterating it.  8)

If I see someone using rayquaza on wifi, I won't be too mad, but if I see someone who is always super sonic then I will.
That would be hilarious

Allegretto

Dang...well at least i know i will never cheat on brawl!...or any video game

extraz

I wouldn't worry about it for two reasons

1- It probably won't come out for a real long time, Datel has to make it so Nintendo can't just make a mandatory wii update making the disc useless. In addition to that the thing keeps getting delayed and it's not mentioned anywhere on Datel's website.

2- Datel has a strict no official codes for online play.

Example, They make codes for regular play, but they turn off when the game goes online....at least they are supposed to.....thats why they didn't make any codes for Phantasy Star Online on the GCN.

Doesn't prevent the hobbyist from making his own codes though....

Ridley

Oh shoot what if someone uses action replay in Starwind's tournament?!?!
...Friend codes were probably implemented by the same people who wanted tripping in Brawl...
...It's quite obvious...
