I loved my priest's homily today...

Today's First Reading was some crap about 7 kids getting tortured  for br eaking a law, and they either ate pork, or they died.

They chose death blah blah blah blah

My priest comes up with the Homily, and starts talking about all of these "anti-christian" things that just add "a little more pork", meaning that there's just a little more that we say won't make a difference blah blah blah

Then he started talking about The Golden Compass, blah blah blah blah Anti-Christian blah blah blah.

Then he said something along the lines of...

"Well, the movie's based of a book series called 'His Bad-' (something, I was half asleep >_> ) and it's anti-christian and when the parents take their kids to see it, they'll get them the book for Christmas, and the world simply turns upside-down. Just because of a little more pork."

He was talking about other "Anti-Christian" crap like porn and cursing...

Translation:

it's "His Dark Materials"...and Phillip Pullman is a genius and I'm totally seeing that movie :D

"His Dark Materials" kicks ass.

it's a work of fiction.  so is The Da'vinci code.

I don't know why some hardheaded chistians can't seem to get their minds around that. :|


and the book isn't anti-christian.  it is anti-organized religion.
not even that.  it's in a completely alternate universe where the church is supposedly evil, and it only crosses over into this one at the

The movies are taking out all of the religious references anyways, according to Nicole Kidman.

which sucks, because THE WHOLE FRICKIN PLOTLINE OF THE BOOKS REVOLVES AROUND THE CHURCH.


and because of that, the movies are going to suck ass.
