Original Claus Thread (Where the Hype Started)

Story


Claus is the son of Flint and Hinawa and twin brother of Lucas, he is a risktaker, unlike Lucas. Claus makes his first appearance in the game training with a Drago.



The game quickly shifts after Hinawa tells Claus and Lucas that is time to go home and that they have a dangerous path ahead. They go missing. Until Flint realizes this and with the help of the entire town he quickly sets off to look for her wife and children. The two children appear but not Hinawa. Flint then goes to Lucas and Claus who are sitting near a fire.



Flint finds out Hinawa is dead, killed by Mecha Drago. Claus becomes full of anger and runs off the following day. Flint has no idea where Claus is until Lucas tells him he went to avenge his mother and defeat Mecha Drago. Flint sets off with the help of Alec to find Claus, on the way to where Mecha Drago supposedly is, they find a baby Drago playing with Claus's shoe. That's when Mecha Drago appears and fights Flint.



After the fight, Flint doesn't find Claus and you can only see his dead body at the end of the Chapter.

The Aftermath and Becoming the Masked Man



This isn't the end of him; he is revived by the Pig Mask Army as a half human half robot child, to serve Porky's wishes. He has no recollection of his background whatsoever and believes he is on a mission to collect the seven needles to summon a dragon that will destroy the world. It all comes crashing to an end in New Pork City at the end of the game. When Lucas finds out The Masked Man is his brother, he  refuses to attack him. Claus then throws a lighting attack at Lucas, which gets reflected by the Franklin Badge and kills him.

Why Claus Should Be In Brawl

1. He is the second most important important character in Mother 3, despite the fact that he isn't a member of your party. He is the catalyst of the entire story.

2. He had more votes than Lucas did in Sakurai's Poll.

3. He is the most original character ever in the Mother series.

4. The Mother series has been denied a second rep since the 64 days and while this applies to every Mother 3 character, look at point 1.

Most Common Arguments Against Him: DISPELLED

1. Sakurai won't spoil Mother 3 by putting Claus in Brawl, it hasn't been released in America.

Response: Not only has Sakurai has proven he doesn't care about spoiling a game due to Sheik's appearance in Melee, he already spoiled Mother 3 in Brawl with the New Pork City stage.

2. Mother 3 won't get two reps because it is Japan only.

Response: Marth and Roy appeared in Melee, nuff said.

3. He died in Mother 3, how can he appear in Brawl?

Response: Most villains die in their games and get revived for no apparent reason to keep the franchise and the villain alive. A great example of this is Gray Fox from Metal Gear who is already in Brawl. That's the most ridiculous argument in the book.

MOVESETS

Standard Special: Arm Cannon Laser



Claus shoots lasers from his arm cannon, similar to Fox's.

Side Special: Thunder Slash



Claus puts his sword in front of him summoning a huge lightning bolt.

Up Special: PK Starstorm



Claus spreads his wings and charges his sword with this powerful PSI attack to recover, it does major damage to anyone in it's path.

Down Special: PK Ground



Claus summons a powerful earthquake that goes in straight line in the ground, doing damage to any character in it's path.

Smash Attacks

Down Smash: Claus does a little jump and falls with his sword on the ground a little like Link.
Up Smash: Claus charges his sword mentally and does an attack to the air.
Forward Smash: a fierce punch with his cannon. (No firing)

Tilts:

Standard: Claus does a straightforward slash with his sword.
Down Tilt: Claus crouches and throws kicks.

Moveset by T-Major

Claus:
A: Simple horizontal swipe with his blade.
A,A: Horizontal swipe, upward-diagonal swipe that brings the blade above and in front of him.
A,A,A: Horizontal swipe, Upward diagonal swipe, Slash that goes strait down in front of him.

::TILTS::
Forward: A strait jab with his arm cannon.
Up: Swipes above him with his sword in a 180 degrees motion.
Down: A tripping kick at the opponents feet.

::SMASHES::
Forward: A Downward-diagonal slash in front of him. has a lightning effect.
Up: Two fast slashes above him.
Down: Sends thunder PSI along the ground around him, making a very small electrified area around him.

Throws:
Up: does an uppercut with his gun arm, sending the opponent strait into the air. (7-10%)

Forward: pushes them forward a bit, then follows up with a slash from his sword that sends them back. (9-13%)

Back: moves the opponent behind him, then hits them at close range with a blast from his arm cannon sending them back. (13-15%)

Down: Trips the opponents feet, knocking them onto the ground. he then points the tip of his blade at them, and zaps them with a bolt of Thunder PSI (16-19%. no knock-back)

::DASH::
Claus hops forward, and does a spin in the air (close to the ground) with his sword out, causing it to lash people within range.

::AIR ATTACKS::
Neutral: standard kick (like Links)
Forward: A downward swipe with his arm cannon.
Back: Spins around and slashes behind him with his sword.
Up: Slashes above him, causing him to do a back flip.
Down: Face stomp (Like Ness)

- B: Energy Beam- He shoots out a beam from his arm cannon that makes people flinch. similar to Samus' cannon, but shoots a beam (like Falco's laser) instead of a ball.

It can be charged, and doing so will make the beam longer and cause multiple hits, as well as the ability to pass through opponents and hit people that might be behind them.

An uncharged beam does 5% damage; one hit from a charged beam still does 5%, but multiple hits (up too 3 or 4 hits maximum) will cause more damage.

- B ^ Metal Wings- He spreads his metal wings, and points his sword above him; he gives a big flap of his wings, and flies strait up. Electricity swirls around his sword in a drill-like manner, harming anyone it hits.

- B > Pig bomb - He pulls out a pig bomb and throws it. after a short amount of time it explodes.

It normally goes straight, but if you tilt the control stick before it's thrown you can change the angle a bit. Tilting back will give it less distance; up will give it a high arch, and down will roll it onto the ground right in front of you.

- B v Thunder Psi- Claus points his sword down at the ground in front of him, and a bolt of lighting strikes in front of him. Using it in the air will cause him to point at the ground directly under him, and send a bolt of lightning out of his sword

Taunt: Points sword at opponents

Final Smash Suggestions

1. PK Love Omega



Unless it is revealed to be Lucas's Final Smash, this attack it's still up for grabs.

2. Summoning the Pig Mask Army



Claus summons the pig mask army and they all attack like crazy all over the stage a little like Pit's Palutena Army Final Smash

3. Life Terminating Assault: The Natural Killer Cyborg (Suggestion by Ouendanation):



The Natural Killer Cyborg appears in the background, firing lasers, rockets, etc in random places, then pauses for a long time. Its mouth begins to glow red, and soon after, it fires an enourmous beam from its mouth that covers a huge portion of the screen, filling it slowly. It's basically Zero Laser from the background. (Called Life Termination Beam) If you get caught in the center of it, there's a one in 10 chance of getting pushed to the front of the screen, KOing you.
