hell no. buy a playstation 3, you'll get all the ps2 games. it will be like getting two systems in one which justafies the high price tag!

The PS3 looks like it may eventually win the war, but not before another price drop or two.

if you're going to get a PS2 anyways, I suppose there's nothing wrong with getting a PS3, but I'd say that if you're going to eventually get a PS3, wait until there are enough games on it to justify getting one.


IMO, the people who got it this early on should've waited a bit longer (hell, sony should have waited to release the console).  The price will keep dropping, and considering how the console is supposed to have a 10 year life span, you'll be able to get it cheaper later (providing it survives, of course).

Except the backwards compatibility right now is subpar, and the only games that are definitey buy-worthy are Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction.

Yes, there's MGS4, but Kojima could always delay it.
