Okay, I'm probably gonna learn how to play guitar pretty soon, so here is the guitar I'm gonna get

Epiphone's 1958 Explorer

It costs 500, so I'm planning on getting it by around March or April.

Sweet. Epiphone is pretty nice when it comes to quality. And the Explorer is one of my favorites. O:

Epiphone is a sub-division of gibson, like how squire is a sub-divison of feder. I prefer the latter of each.

If they're just starting, they sure as heck shouldn't get a Gibson or Fender. xD

I knew. I'm actually a drummer, but I have friends who are guitarists

:P Either way, Epiphone is inexpensive and nice. :) A Gibson Explorer can run up to $2,500. Dx
I still plan to get one one day though. :)

You're retarded. Someone who is just starting will be frustrated with the sound, because they'll want something close to what they listen to. They won't be able to achieve that easily without the right guitar, because they won't be good at manipulating amp options.

If a beginner can afford the real deal, they should go for it. Having the right sound will encourage one to keep practicing.

Of course, I honestly think a beginner should always learn on an acoustic first, but that's just me.
