II had a better battle system, aside from only being able to cast your Cure spell once (Whoever thought THAT up should be shot)
I had a better story.
COM tied the two together quite nicely.
I don't know, man! :P

KHII. Aerial battle makes it much more fun, plus the super-powerful and amazing forms are super-powerful and amazing. Plus Sora didn't look like an 8-year-old. But he still talked like a girl...

Well, his voice was still less girly. Sora completely improved in the second game. He fought very badass. He started fighting in the second one as good as he did in the end of the first one. His jump was no longer "I'mmah spreadin' mah legs", and he gets a cool backflip now. His voice was less girly, and don't even get me started on how much his wardrobe improved.

No matter what you think of the story, gameplay, etc between the two games, there is no denying that KHII Sora > KHI Sora.
