He is just in a high tier, he isn't broken.

no character in melee could do 98% damage in one move except for Game & Watch, and that was under very limited circumstances that never occurred unless you purposely set it up.

the move is completely broken if the person gets caught in it.

did you see how long they were held there?

they would have tried all sorts of things to get out, and only got out at 98%.

there is a reason this doesnt happen often and thats because it isnt broken

neither does the ice climber's freeze glitch, but that's broken.

just because it's a rare occurrence doesn't mean it's not broken.

sheiks FS is pretty bad (not so much zelda).  It hits them off the stage at an unholy angle.  there's a video of it somewhere, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

this vid has the known 35 character's final smashes.  Young Link's is the same as Link's  just different trajectory on the last slash... so dumb... Captain falcon's is pretty cool, though.  Luigi's is just plain weird...
