Can the Wii charge iPods?

I tried before and it didn't seem like it was doing anything.  It's raining and thundering and I'm afraid to keep my laptop plugged in all night(POWER OVERLOAD), however, I need to keep it on to charge my iPod.


So, is it possible to use the Wii to charge iPods or do I need to make the decision of keeping my laptop on all night or going through tomorrow without an iPod?

Yep. It works, but only when the Wii is turned on.
