Yes, I did the 7 hour standing in the middle of the pokéball of pokémon stadium to get mewtwo. he beat me, I was mad as hell but luckily, all I had to do was go into battle, and leave the battle and he came back.

I was 7, I didn't know his attacks were strong, and he freaking "Ken Combo'ed" me into oblivion. :|
next time I obliterated him with Link. :D

in the original smash, I was unlocking Jiggypuff and my sister wanted to play, so since it was an easy character I thought "Why not", she died instantly, so it was not really me that lost

I found out a great strategy to beat Ness. Use Samus and throw him three times off the edge. Instant kill. To answer the original question, no, I have never lost one.
