They better get rid of Friend Codes for this...

Hopefully it won't be too expensive, and hopefully it will let people use headsets and all that fun stuff.

You have got to be kidding me :|

this is not good for me if they are going to put that sticker on MK Wii.

I sure hope that price is low, and can be done be wii points.
Most of the time, you can buy subscription cards.

Like buy one $50 card per year and cash in the code.

... No. I'm not paying anything just to play online. Suckiest move ever. :|
This means a good bye to Wi-Fi for all games too?

King_Gamer28

If this happens, and the new service is up to speed with the rest of the world's online multiplayer options and technologies, it will likely in turn make up for the terrible wi-fi service that we've received as of now in terms of all DS and Wii games, as we will be faced with a far inferior service for free as well as a more reasonable, "core" online service, even if it costs a bit.

Just how I see it.

If this comes included with Brawl, I'm skipping online altogether, regardless of FCs being included or not.  No way in heck am I paying x amount of dollars for playing online once a week or so.

Wolfpika

I better not have to pay for Brawl, or I'm gonna be one angry person..

Dawei

If they make it more similar to XBL (Fuck you friend codes), I'd pay without a doubt.

Morons. I'll stick with single player if they are going to do this.

What's so bad about paying for online?

It just means that they can make online even better.

And it's only for some games.

I'm not paying to play, unless it's a reasonable price. 50$ for online play is terrible.

$50 a year for Xbox Live like online? Would you do that?

Because Xbox Live is awesome.

If it means Xbox live like online, then I'll be willing, only if they update it with Brawl. Then I'll be fine with it, but if FC's continue to exist, then no way in hell I'm paying. Once again Nintendo's lead has gone to their heads...
Think tehy can get away with anything...
you have to have something GOOD to warrant paying. And I love the biohazard sign on it :P

I'm gonna adopt a wait-and-see attitude toward this system.

If, as others have said, Nintendo creates a service that emulates Xbox Live for $30-$50 bucks a year, I'll gladly fork over the cash. However, if the Friend Code system gets left in place and the only improvement that I see are more channels like EVC or Check Mii Out, intercourse  it, I'll buy a PS4 or a Xbox 720 next generation.

I could do without the voice chat; $30 bucks a year sounds fair without it, and $40 or $50 sounds fair with it.

Also, for the more mentally-inferior among you, the biohazard sign is a parody created by the website.

O' joy'd! They'd better NOT do this to SSBB, either! The hype and delays is more than we can take and they're not going to pressure us and that by making it WORST. And as far as the friend's codes...
