My best guess is that it's set in an alternate future where the Nazis were helped by dark sprits and a boy escapes from a death camp in an epic adventure to save his family. And there's also some historical facts too.

I'll have to check it out, it looks like an interesting platformer.

Or it could be about a boy just imagining all this, considering the title.

It is about a French boy who escapes the horrors of the Holocaust and German occupation during WWII through his own imagination.
