And even though Jono completely summed it up, I'll respond too;
You must not have noticed that Brawl is not an "unlocking game" (if there even is something like that.) It's a game to play with your friends and poop holes like that. The fact that you have to unlock so many things in a game like Brawl is almost Anti-fun. Brawl isn't a one player game. It's 2-4 players. Is it fun when you want to play with your friends and someone wants to use some random kickass character, but you have to do 10k vs matches or beat all star on intense without taking any damage? You say that is fun, because it is unlocking something?

And like I said, Brawl is a party game. Melee is a fighting game. Why? Because Brawl is so much simpler. So much slower paced. Everyone can do good at it. There are very few things separating great players and average player. Melee was as deep as some fatass guys stomach (man, I love comparing things to fat people). Brawl is so much more of a party game than melee.

That point's completly stupid. Brawl IS a fighting game. MARIO PARTY is a party game.
And who really cares? I still win with inexpecanced people. There is still skill involved. Sobasicly, so you can't kill newcomers as easily, it's not as good as Melee?

heh, does it matter?  It's a great game!  And to all those people complaining, remember that Brawl is still new, you never know what people will come up with in this game.

Brawl is my favorite game of all.  The only complaints I have are the tripping and the really annoying A moves.  Characters like Meta Knight, Pit,
Falco
and a few others all have it.  And what's stupid about it is that you just have to hold the button down to do it instead of pressing constantly.  I am addicted to this game to an extent that I must play 7 hours atleast everyday.  On weekends, it's even more.  I give it 10/10.  Best ever.

the others are right. you just don't get it dawei. you loved wavedashing right. and other special techs. you're probably saying the skill factor is gone because special techs from melee are gone. there are still new special techs in brawl to be discovered. and unlocking things in this game is easy. you just have to play vs. matches and you're all set. you're exagerating the very few downs of this game and insulting it. it's a good thing most people don't agree with you. otherwise the game wouldn't do well.

well said
i like the intensity of melee better but at least my friends can learn brawl quicker for me to beat them

tibar7

the reason why brawl doesn't seem as intense as melee right now is because we're not yet as goood at brawl as we are at melee. even though it has virtually the same gameplay, its a different game and a different feel. for those of you that miss the intesity just give the game more time.

did you know that a lot of the pros use the C stick in melee. it's just a quick way of using a quick smash. comes in handy once in a while. when i first started playing melee i spammed the C stick smashs but i have it 50/50 with the original way now.

oh yeah i use c stick in brawls too but in single player i like to depend on some sort of skill
its just kinda cheap i must admit

tibar7

unless you're extremely talented you have to be cheap when you face really tough computers.

Even so, you guys have gone off the point. This is not a "Is Brawl better or worse than you expected in the long run" topic. This is here and now, your opinion on Brawl. So any "more techs will be discovered" points are completely useless. As of now, Brawl fails my expectations greatly because Sakurai had to change what was already good.
