Last time i checked... it did like 27-30 max.

Last time i checked... it did like 27-30 max.

you weren't using it properly then.  go clear classic with Yoshi & use the kick on Master Hand.  it does 50 damage if you get really lucky, averages about 44 (if you hit all of the kicks).  It's possible to deal 50 on a normal character too, just much harder.
