Why did they get rid of the anime part?

Was it due to lack of interest or something else?

Because I know all of the high schools around me have anime clubs but they are probably filled with Narutards.....

thats what the anime club at my college is like, all naruto, bleach, death notes, etc fanboys, which is why I stopped going
