Well, this is the surprise of the century.

Nintendo asked people what their most wanted games on the VC were in Nintendo Power.

Here are the results, via Starmen.net:

1. EarthBound (Super NES)
2. Super Mario RPG (Super NES)
3. Chrono Trigger (Super NES)
4. Mother (Japan only/NES)
5. Majora's Mask (N64)

Wow, what a shocker, especially since every person on Starmen.net bugs Nintendo 24/7 for EarthBound and MOTHER.  :D

Earthbound? Why would they want to put an album on the VC? And Mother? What kind of sicko wants a game of their mom?

Nintendo fans are freaky as hell.

Matt

Never played Earthbound, so it would be interesting if it was put on VC.

Nintendo hasn't heard or Rare either.  I'm going to sound like a dumbass, but unless publishing and making the game are the same thing, they tried to take credit for DKC1 when I downloaded it.

Shame too.  They try to stop emulation.  Not putting those two games on the VC only encourages people to download the ROMs to try great games they missed out on.  Amazingly, Lost Levels made it to the VC in original form.  I didn't see that one coming...

Nintendo didn't develop DKC1. Rare did.

Nintendo just published it.

If you are being sarcastic, good job pointing out the unfortunate name of MOTHER.

If not, you are an idiot.

King Crimson references? How sad. Your knowledge of prog rock isn't so special, and your jokes aren't funny.

Also, if you meant another album by the same name, then you have poopty taste in music.

I'm surprised that Nintendo hasn't found out about Starmen.net yet.

I'm sure that a lot of their inboxes and phone lines are full of requests for Earthbound.

Most of them are from Starmen.net's "Siege".

I think they have some idea Starmen.net exists, judging by this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUFIO6GtThk

You think they would send out a memo to the people who answer phones for Nintendo about what to say....
