The Phantom of Maple Circle [Mystery RP]

Nick woke up to the mayor's yelling but was still half asleep. "Ugh..." He got up and went and got dressed with a pair of jeans, a shirt, and the same sweat shirt from yesterday, the one with the pumkin on it. He was about to open his door but he stopped. "Oh, yeah. Don't want to forget to spike my hair again." So he went into the bathroom and spiked his hair back. This hair has always reminded me of that one character from the lawyer DS game...what was it, oh yeah. I look like Phoenix Wright...Sort of ironic right now I guess. With that thought, he left the bathroom and walked out the door.

[Max Headroom]

Mira jumped out of his bed awake when he heard the mayor yell. He dashed out to the lobby, forgetting to get ready for the day. "I'm here sir, what do you need?" Mira asked, alert.

[THEBIRD]

"About time," Mayor Scotch growled, looking at the two of them up and down. "There's been another killin'. You two can go together and check it out, Mary will give you the details." With that, Mayor Scotch stomped out of the hotel.

"I-It's at the Garnet household," Mary squeaked. "Emilia Garnet, age 35, died. Her husband found her this morning..." Mary printed out the address and handed it to Mira. "Sorry about all that noise. Good luck with your search, and be careful."

[Max Headroom]

"Thanks," Mira said, as he tried to put the address card in his pocket, but he noted that he had none. "Hold on a moment." Mira said, as he went up and got prepared for the day. He came down to the lobby, gave Mary some things to talk to Zach about (vaguely related to the case), looked at the address, and walked to the house.

((Wait, who's Zach? Don't you mean Nick?))

[THEBIRD]

(( No, he meant Zach. ))

Outside of the house was a tall man with dark brown hair and eyes. Tears streamed down his face as he stared at a black body bag.

((Ah, nevermind then))
Nick followed Mira to the address. Hm...that bag must be the dead body. He gave a slight cough to try and get the man's attention.

[Max Headroom]

"Hello there!" Mira said, addressing the man in tears. "You seem sad. May I ask about your relationship with the victim?"

Nick: Way to lay it on him gently genius. *facepalm*

Mira turned his head to Nick. "We are not on trial, dumbass. The man is already crying because the victim is already dead."

[Dr.Hobo2]

Huh? Trial? When did this have anything to do with my remark. "You could be a little bit more sympathetic about it though." Nick said.

[Max Headroom]

"Empathic. Feeling what the relations of the victim feel allows me to think about what they are going through, which gives me motivation to help the relation get vengeance."

[THEBIRD]

"My wife," the man croaked. "She was... going to be wife..." He took a diamond engagement ring from his pocket, and looked slightly up at Nick and Mira. "Now she'll never know... What is love? What is it, really?"

[Max Headroom]

Mira resisted the urge to sing that song that goes 'what is love, what is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.' "Love is an attraction between two individuals. Any further, and it gets debatable. Either way, do you know anyone who has the motive to kill her?"

[THEBIRD]

Mark gave Mira a strange look. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "Was someone planning on killing her? Is that why she did what she did!? Tell me what you know!"
