In Grand Prix mode, if you do really well, you get a star ranking, right? Well, if you get at least one star in each grand prix, then you'll get a star by your name. ;D

One Star in every cup in Grand Prix in every class: One Star next to your name.
2: Stars in every cup: 2 stars next to your name.
3 Stars in every cup: 3 stars next to your name. (Supposedly, you're the best in the world if you have this. :-\)

The same applies to Mario Kart DS. If you're going for unlockables that require getting a star or higher in all cups to unlock a kart or character, chances are you'll have a star next to your name.

Chances cheated me >:( I have every unlockable, and at least 1 star on every cup, but I still need mirror flower cup, and mirror star cup.  I've gotten SO close on mirror flower cup, but I always lose at wario's gold mine.

I can't.  I NEED the perfect drift that some of the bikes have.  But as of two hours ago, I have all the unlockables and a 1 star ranking.
