My old Elementary school taught all the students Spanish.  That was in California.

Then here in Nevada, they had a series of videos that taught the student Spanish, as well.

Hola!  Como esta?  Miamo Natalia!

I probably got some of that wrong, but it's been...10 years or so.

"Hola! Como estas? Me llamo Natalia!
Score!  I wasn't too far off!! :3

Thank you for the correction. ^-^

Que tal amigo? La maestra es muy muy inteligente! Hasta Luego!

Spanish has won again! >:3
...You lost me after "Que". o.o;
Que bola acere? Vamos a coger la guagua para visitar el guajiro en Oriente.

Nobody translated it in the Bungalow, so someone here do it.

UGH. Why can't people just understand that we need to use one common language.

And if it isn't one common Language, just make every standard language standard where it's spoken, if that makes sense.

I.E. Forget about Cuban Spanish, Spain Spanish, Puerto Rican Spanish etc. Start teaching kids the RIGHT WAY TO SPEAK. -_-

Face it.

Every culture no matter if they speak the same language will have their own slang.

English has it too.

Well, of course. It would be so simple if slang didn't exist, though >_>

Fine, I'll translate...

"What's up dude? Let's go get the bus to go visit the guajiro* in Oriente (a province in Cuba)

*Guajiro is a term for a guy from the country-side of Cuba.
