I thought Sonic and the Secret Rings was good, and so did all the critics :|

Mine would have to be WWII Aces, it was sooo boring...
First of all, Sonic should never be put on rails except for tiny sections of the level and if he IS on rails the whole game, there needs to be good controls. The party mode was also horrid and obviously put together at the last minute.

It's a shame, because the game LOOKED great. I think it was one of the better looking Wii games when it came out in 2007.
What on EARTH are you talking about? Sonic works GREAT on rails (as shown by him being insanely better in 2D than 3D). The game was the best 3D Sonic game we've gotten! The control was good...especially considered how horrid other games were where Sonic spirals out of control anytime you tilt right or left. The party wasn't supposed to be good...it was just a quicky holdover until the first Mario Party for Wii came out.

Worst Wii game I've played? Anything third party not from SEGA, Capcom, or Suda51 X_X;;

One simple sentence that could crush all your explanation.

You think WAY too much.

that doesn't crush anything...it just means you didn't bother reading what I typed.

Nayr, on-rails means that if you put the controller down, Sonic moves anyway.

Unless I am wrong, you can put the controller down in the 2D games and Sonic won't move.

NiGHTS: Journey for Dreams.

I was so disappointed and even a bit annoyed with the limits of the rail system and the general suckage of the plot and the voice acting that I traded it in a few weeks after I got it and didn't regret it a bit, which I usually do after I trade games in.

I lol'd.

Worst game I've played for the Wii; Sonic and the Secret Rings, hands down. I got bored after the third level. >_> The controls were horrid, and the Wii wouldn't read my controls.

Best 3D Sonic game = SA2B, no question.
Holy crap all my sigs were always poop. Best leave this space alone.

Spindash and you can get Sonic through most levels on that alone. I've done it in three different levels in Sonic 2 if you do it in the right place.

WHY do people say the control is horrible!? The control works GREAT for me, so I dunno what you guys are doing. Have you checked your sensor or where the hell youre sitting? Also check how you powered up Sonic...that has a LOT to do with it.
Also, how can you say it was the worst with shovelware crap like WiiPlay and Carnival games out there for the system...

Well, sometimes very simple games can beat games that had a long time to create.

Although something that could be very impressive is a very simple game created in one month defeat a 3 year old game like Brawl...and that will surely never happen. :(

I agree with Nayr. This game was good compared to all the other 3D ones weve had lately. Opinions may be opinions, and facts may be facts, but it's a no brainer that this game is good, in its own way. Alot of people arent a fan of games like this, and thought that if Sonic was put on the cover that they would be. :|

Sometimes thats the case...but I defy one person to play both WiiPlay and Secret Rings and say which one they like better.
Mindless un-fun minigames (besdies Duck Hunter clone) or an actual game?

I agree again, WiiPlay lost its value in an hour. I only bought it for the Wii Remote/game deal! There are far worse party games for the Wii than the party mode in Secret Rings. Everyone thinks they can create a mediocre party game for Wii and it'll survive because the Wii is a "party system". 3rd party companies are finally starting to realize reality: the Wii is a system for hardcore as well as party, and now better 3rd party games are finally being made, but there were far worse party games than Secret Rings, and it gives it to you as an extra mode! :O

In conclusion, some games work on rails (NiGHTS) and some don't. (Sonic)

Let the records show that I like Wii Play.

Sonic works FINE on rails! Better than his horrible attempts at free roam *coughSONICHEROEScoughSONIC06!cough*
And HOW can you like Wii Play!? That is one of the WORST shovelware crap the system has...

Yeah, I guess it is fine. I just wish it was more like Sonic Adventure 2. My main complaint with the game was that levels barely advanced the story.

Also, some of the mingames were pretty good. I particularly like Fishing, Pose Mii, Shooting Range, and Table Tennis. Charge! was too short, and Tanks! was meh. Oh, and Find Mii was okay.

Lets look at the two times Sega tried to make a good/deep story... (Heroes and 06 were the worst two games in 3D by far).
Besides, no one played the game for the story. I liked it because it played like an old fashioned Sonic game (except for a few points). Run around real fast, die in a cheap manner, know its comming and get past it, continue to run fast. Besides, I loved the bosses they were awesome (besides Darkspine Sonic...good gawd that killed my arms).

I hate Wii Play...the box shouldn't say "Free Wiimote with Wii Play" it SHOULD say "Cheap rip-off game with Wiimote!"
The only game I hate worse than that (I can stand the licensed crap...cuz its licensed crap and I never play them) is *guh* CARNIVAL GAMES. Can't you come up with a better excuse of a Wii game BESIDES ripping off WiiSports and WiiPlay?
