What made you join OldSider?

For me, it all started when my brother directed me to the Smash Dojo (the older one). I remember there was a button that said "Click here to discuss Brawl with other fans" or something like that. So, I clicked it and it led me to the Smash Board of OldSider. I lurked for a few months, not wanting to join because I thought I didn't know enough about video games to join. I later found out that some users there didn't know much of anything. :D. So, one day I randomly decided to join and OldSider closed down about 2-3 months later.

So, what's your story?

Oh and if you didn't join OldSider, what made you join NSF?

I was new on the internet, and one day I searched nintendo and came across it.

I got an email from Nintendo talking about the new forums they had for Wind Waker.

So I browsed, saw a thread that I wanted to reply to, and made an account.

I couldn't actually log onto my account for like.. 3 months.

And the rest is history. :B

I joined a few fanmade game-related forums before I joined Oldsider, and I knew Nintendo had official ones. So I registered on New Years Day 2006, and a few months later, the fanmade ones closed down.

I joined simply because I wanted to know the origin of Master Hand. That's it. And I didn't even ask the question until 3 months after I joined. :-\

I really don't know. I remember trying to join around 2001 but I neaded an active subcription to Nintendo Power and mine subcription had run out just a few months earlier. Then I joined up in 2005 for some reason.

I wanted to join Nintendo for years, and finally got around to it. I saw they had an online forum (And saw it many months ago numerous times.), and decided to join.

What made me join NSF? I wanted the Oldsider Forums to return, but we got Techsider. So I PM'd some old users, Mack sent me a link to NSF in December, and I joined. I know I didn't have to add this, but still...

Back in early '04, I think I was trying to figure out how to get past level 7-4 in Super Mario Bros... the maze-like Bowser castle. Either that, or trying to get help with Banjo-Kazooie. Then I came across Power on, The Cave, the chat threads, and early RPs. xD

The forums I went to previously were over-encumbered with problems and got bought out by GR.
