Well, my brother got an iBook for college and it came with an iTouch. My brother has way more music than 8 GB, so he gave it to the rest of the family.

So far, it's pretty good. The setup is nice and intuitive, and a web browser is nice.

The only sucky thing is that once the store app comes out, it will cost $10 to get it on an iTouch.

Oh, and you can't watch a Youtube video like normal which sucks.

i don't have 8gb of music that I'll listen to.  alot of the stuff on my ipod i'll just skip over... people need to fix that for themselves.  I don't imagine anyone needing the amount 8gigs takes up before re-syncing.

I don't listen to roughly 80-90% of the music on my iPod. Usually it's just there because I listened to it once, thought it was okay, and put it on.

same.  it's a mood thing, really.  sometimes I'll be willing to listen to some of the older stuff (Led Zeppelin (sp?), Crowded House, The Police), and sometimes my weirder stuff (Crystal Castles, namely), but it's nice to have it there sort of thing.

depends.  with just music, mine's probably about 1/3 full, and i have about 500 songs.

however, I do have about 10 or so 20-60 minute "songs".

I have 1,000-something songs on my iPod and I'm looking to get something new as my current one is  Third Generation (I think?) Classic (The screen is Black & White). So I'm not sure if I should get the new iPhone or the iPod Touch

I only download what I love, so 8GB is plenty of space.  My current mp3 player has four with an expansion slot for a microSD card.  I have about 7GB of music on my computer, but I don't listen to it all.

Also, I have a bunch of hour mixes, so that doesn't help :P
