My 1019-block memory card doesn't work anymore. No matter what game I use, I'm told the memory card is corrupted and needs to be formatted. It has all my save data on it and I don't want to lose it all :(

Nintendo tech person says there's no way to recover data off it. I've tried finding a Wii homebrew app that allows backup saves to be made off of a memory card, but the only one I could find (NuGaSa) doesn't work with official Nintendo memory cards yet and only supports 3rd-party ones. If I wait until that app supports 1st party cards, is there a chance that it'll be able to back up at least some of my game saves?

If you wait it's possible that they'll come up with an app with that.

I don't know if this is compatible with the GCN memory cards, but do you have an extra cube memory?
This happened to my PS1 card a long time ago, and merely switching the save data to another memory card somehow fixed the problem. I doubt it'll work but it's worth a try

They're actually in the works of making that right now, so don't worry too much about it. I think it'll be done in a couple weeks (possibly longer, depending on where they put their priorities.)

You leave it in your Wii for a while (while not playing it) or somethin'? Yeah, that will make it overheat and corrupt the memory. I don't know how to fix but if you did leave it in your Wii overnight or somethin', then don't do that next time to prevent it.
