Got one last Monday.  I was hoping for them to call it off because of how cold it was going to be with the wind chill.

Apparently schools around here missed being close by 3 degrees. They close if it gets down to 0 degrees.

That's not true. When I was in intermediate school, it go to -10 degrees and school was open.

The roads were icy and it was like 5 degrees Fahrenheit, and they canceled school.

Some kids have to wait like 30-45 minutes at the bus stop because they live so far away, so they cancel school if it's like below a certain temperature.

we had a bad ice storm Friday, but being the d**chebag that he was the super intendant refused to call off a measley half day.

I rather have a half day, then they can't say "we used up a snow day, now the Memorial Day weekend is only four days off".

-.- Schools cancel for low temperatures because if it's too cold the buses don't start. I don't recall this Byte, but if it is true, then well I guess buses start in -10 degrees weather.
