they would just use it to kill innocent civilians.

I mean seriously.  what the intercourse ?  This, lately, has been one of the few news items that actually makes me cry when I think about it.  Why do the israelis feel a need to, in response to the palestinians firing rockets into "their" territory (not hurting ANYONE (oh, wait, 3 people)), go out and kill HUNDREDS of innocent palestinians?

It`s not even their intercourse ing land.  It`s the palestinians.  intercourse  the zionists.

It was origionally going to be both, but the Palestinians in the late 40's after WW2 didn't want them there, so the UN took control. Besides, if you want to get pedantic, technically it was the people of Juda's land before the Palistinians got there, but once the Jews got kicked out (for like the fifth time at that point), it became "their" land. I just really hate that argument...

It is pretty bad and I don't condone it, but the Israelis wouldn't use nukes, even if they had one. The last thing they want is a PR hit that bad... X_X;;

Israel has nuclear weapons, if I recall correctly.

Other than that, I'm clueless on this issue.

They have the materails needed, but don't have a full missle. Basically so foreign countries can't use the "OMG THEY HAVE NUKES!" excuse to not like them...

They could build a full missile if they wanted, but are trying to not use nukes because that would probably endanger the help they get from friendly nations.

Besides, Jono, you can't just look at the Palestinian side. You have to look at Israel's point of view and ask yourself, "Why else would they do this?"

it was the people of juda`s land back in biblical times.  you can`t claim that you `left`and now you want it back after all that time.

Israel will always have the support of the US, simply because that's how the US has their hand in the middle east, and it sickens me.  They're obviously up to no good.

They would do this because Palestine is firing crappy rockets into their territory.  If they weren't there, they wouldn't be firing their rockets into their own territory. -_-

Palestine can't do anything against Israel, and they know it, but they want what is rightfully theirs.  Their "holy land".  Reasons for it belonging solely to Israel are completely one-sided.

Palestine has killed 3 people so far.

Israel has purposely fired rockets into civilian territory (universities!), and has killed 400, and doesn't want peace.  This will end in a bloodbath.

Do you freakin' see my posts! There has to be a reason that Israel is doing this.

I was saying if you want to get pedantic, I could make that argument. (I could make a similar argument saying that we should return all of the U.S. back to the native americans, but that won't happen).
I also never said Israel was right. It's obvious the palisitians don't want to take the high road either. Are the Israelites doing more damage? Of course, but no one is going to go against Israel (and consequently the U.S.) while Hamas continues to run about causing a ruckus. If they want real change they have to do it through peaceful protest. That way Israel is left with 2 options:
Don't attack, and essentially palistinian support will grow a bit, and negotiations can occur
or
attack and lose the support of basically everyone but the U.S.
Both sides are being blatantly stupid in this instance X_X;;

I don't understand why we couldn't have asked Russia for some land to give to those Jews.  I don't think they'd mind giving up their northern lands without oil.  An even better idea would have been to give them some of Germany's land for their role in the war.

the reason is that israel is tired of Hamas, and has decided that they are willing to go to any lengths to destroy them.  It's the same position that Hamas has taken against Israel.

A good compromise (in my mind) is this:

Israel joins Palestine as a separate state within Palestine.
Palestinians may live anywhere within Israeli territory.
Israelis may not live within (current) palestinian lands.
Palestine keeps gaza.
Egypt gets their land back, neither party may live in egyptian land.
Israel keeps it's military force.

Palestine gets it's land, Israel gets peace, America gets their oil.

If Israel joins with Palestine as a state within Palestine, it loses the point of it being a Jewish state...
I say give Gaza back and begin negotiations with about the West Bank.
What so many people fail to realize is that the West Back was still Palestinian when Israel formed, and they lost it in conflict (like the Sainai Peninsula with Egypt, which we already gave back for peace might I add). I believe it was during the Six Days War, but I may be wrong on that.
It's just one of those, "Oy! Quit with the rockets and we'd actually like to talk!" sort of things. X_X;;

The Israelites don't won't just any land they want the "Holy Land".
