Isn't it weird that the main character of the series is the most underrated character of the series too?

Also, Luigi isn't that awsome, he wasn't even really a character, just a recolor of Mario originally. Also, Nintendo doesn't really underrate him, they give him many things that make fanboys screach like girls in the old days in a Backstreet Boys concert. EX: Mr. L.
Actually, the second main character is usually the most favorited in almost EVERYTHING.

Actually yes, originally, when I played Sonic games, people always wanted to play 2 player so they can fly around with Tails. Now, they use Shadow, which is basically the new Tails.

I have to say I'm guilty of this.
I always wanted to play as Tails.
He was awesome back then and probably is my favorite character.

JrDude, what I meant about him being underrated is that Nintendo doesn't give him enough games, I should have clarified that.

That isn't underrating Luigi, he's Luigi, and Mario is the main guy, I can guarantee that Luigi will have VERY few games compared to Mario, always, and that's not underrating him because he isn't the main character of the series (repeated).

Actually in a recent poll, Sonic is the most popular character in the series.
Followed by shadow.

Only 'cause Shadow was ruined in ShadowTH, and continued the ruin in Sonic06. I'm pretty sure that Shadow would be top if they didn't give him guns and vehicles.
