I think SSBB will outsell Halo 3 remember the release is WORLDWIDE, and besides when Halo 3 comes out WW (if it didn't alread) I am sure SSBB will beat it.

Japan isn't as important anymore.
And yes, SSBB will pwn all in Japan. Wii freaking prints money there.

How is it not important, and yes we all know that it does print money, that is pretty old :P Anyway SSBB > Halo 3

It's growing less and less important because the gaming community is growing in other countries as well. No longer do you have to market and succeed in Japan to stay afloat in the gaming industry. Microsoft has proven that. Getting USA and UK support can be just as important.

But of course, when you're fighting something like the Wiii,  it doesn't really matter.

I don't really know what the Wii's like, I don't have one. All Ican say is If it's better thab the 360, than it must be pretty darn good.

The Wii has the benefit of being able to appeal to the entire world. The PS3 will probably pick up with MGS4, and an American company marketing in Japan just isn't going to go anywhere fast.

You'll find now, they have japanese games for the 360 and ps3. Although they don't look very appealing.

um...no Halo 3 is the biggest launch in entertainment history. Brawl's ad campaign won't be as good, SSBB and Halo 3 are both good games but Halo has way more advertising I always see so many Halo 3 commercials. Also compare Wii Fit and Halo 3

Meh. It won't come anywhere close in sales, but the people who did buy it will probably play it alot more than Halo 3. That's my opinion.
