1. I don't know. Accept it and move on? I wouldn't bother trying to change him/her. It wouldn't accomplish anything, and would probably just alienate him/her.

Most people that are gay is because it has to do with a hormone imbalance, and from what one of my teachers said, has a connection to the age of your parents(more likely to be gay with older fathers or something like that).

There is not a definitive and universally accepted "cause" of homosexuality.  There are a vast sum of possibilities, but none have enough evidence to be accepted as fact at this point.  However, it is understood that sexuality is not something that can be changed on a whim (if it all, this still isn't certain).  People don't just decide they are or aren't gay.  There are so many factors it'll be a long while before we even know what definitively results in a person's sexuality.

Dx;;; Ehhh. Why is so many people trying to MAKE their kid "straight". Its all inside of the KID'S mind. You can't change it. They like what they like. Though through their younger years. I suppose you can "HELP" with that direction they are going. But as they get older they decide, not you. You can kinda help with their decision like. Let them date/hang out with the opposite sex at a younger age and do little play dates with your friends and their son/daughter who is of the opposite sex and ..etc.etc.. And such and such. But truly you can't FORCEFULLY make your child change their sexuality. You can only GUIDE and HELP. And that's it. But being parents you should love and support them no matter what they prefer.
Just like on religion, you can make a kid go to church. But you can't make him/her believe there is a God. You can only tell what you think of it and the child base it on that.

But anyways. As I said above, I really don't care what my child sexuality would be. But tell them that they really should pay attention to personality rather then their physical appearance.

For the hooker/porn star thing, I would really be disappointed. Because even though its pleasurably and its "easy money" you should really save your body/your physical being for of that someone you love and what to cherish with forever. :\ But I would probably just have a good conversation with them and tell them how I felt about it rather then insulting them and how I didn't raise them to be that way. Just find out why and ask questions to why they chose something like that. But I wouldn't be too mad. Just shocked and confused.

But going with the hypothetical question:
I'd of course be completely fine with any sexual orientation. Wouldn't try to encourage them one way or another on that, but I'd at least discourage them away from the ridiculous gay pride stuff.
With being a hooker or porn star or whatever, though, I would try to change and prevent.
