My family owns 4 cats already, so we kind of can't adopt more...

We got ours directly from breeders. I dunno how "good" that is.

Ugh, I always feel terrible when those commercials air. I usually change channel.
When my cat died, every time that commercial came on, I'd start crying. Blah.

Anyways, my family and I have been saving animals. We take in strays, get them their shots and fixed up, and find them a good home. My step-mom has been working with the county to catch strays and get them taken care of.

Okay, you know what's even sadder (that recks my mind with horrendous thoughts, trying imagining what they feel O_O), is how in China, some companies skin animals.... ALIVE.

*shudders* I hunt animals, and I kill them, but our code of ethics states you MINIMIZE the suffering. What I have just stated is completely wrong and immoral. If you're going to skin the animal, MAKE SURE IT'S KILLED BEFORE HAND AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AT THE LEAST.

Which would you rather happen to you? Going hungry for a while or having your skin shaved off you while you're still conscious?

I'd take the former.
