Anyway, see ya Vaatix.

Good luck with whatever you're leaving for.  You'll be missed in chat.

Shit. We're all f**ked now. Silver is still here.

I hope he knows that if no one can fix it within 48 hours Silver will go running to him in some form of way.

I will say this:

I hated Vaatix with my guts and all, I could simply not stand him. In Rania's IRC channel, we tried planning rebelling against him in chat to make him stop being a dick to everyone. That never went through, of course, but I still hated the man.

Was he a good administrator? Absolutely. He was a great one. His technical expertise was surpassed by none that I've seen.

Vaatix was a great man, and he will be missed greatly. Time will only tell what will happen now.

Good bye, VaatixGanon. I will miss you, but you are still, and always be, an awesome guy that abuses his powers.

P.S.

I might as well also say that without Vaatix, I would not be who I am today. The day Vaatix banned my original NSF account for simply being a moron, I started to change into what you all see today. I've become slightly less of an idiot thanks to that man. And honestly, I think we all have.

Except for you, Mario. Fuck you.

Ah, John. It's been fun. Odd that just as I become reformed and return here, you should up and leave. Well, thus ends the era of the Reign of Vaatix. The Ban Cannon, Bink, your role as the villain in my story, and many other things that I cannot remember from over the years. Though I shall always have a mutual dislike for you, I will never stop respecting you for the forum that once was Friend Code Database. You started a small forum and turned it into a thriving ecosystem. You managed to succeed where all other tried and failed, and revived it from death. You were not only an Administrator, but a friend to many a member, always a cut above everyone, but not making them feel like it. For all that you've done there, here, and wherever else your endeavours may have taken you, the Internet world thanks you.
Knowing that you were a Star Trek fan, I'd normally say Live Long and Prosper, but knowing you for so long and where your allegiances were in the Sci-Fi world, it seems more appropriate to say You Will Be Assimilated. I know that you likely won't see this, and that you have lost all faith in me, but as your student at a time and someone who has seen the effects of what you do, I thank you.

Farewell, John

Agh, this really sucks.  He helped to brighten chat, helped us through so much.  I miss him already.

He definitely changed me.

I never really got to know Vaatix, but it seems all of you respected him. The fact that he seems to have done so much, most of which I probably know nothing about, helps me to respect him without really knowing him. It sounds like he was a mentor to all, and has reshaped many of your lives, in and out of the internet. From all of what you say, it seems unfitting that he has to leave with the rank of 'Fighting Polygon', and instead deserves some special rank to commemorate his time here. One that only someone who has reached the NSFCD Hall of Fame and of his caliber should deserve.

Happy VAD, my only regret being I couldn't know him like many of you do.
I get obsessively manic over things. It's a problem.

I am truly sad to see Vaatix leave, even though he gave us ample warning that he was to do so.  He was, arguably, one of the most notable administrators I have ever seen, both for a unique personality and for amazing administrative capabilities.  If Silver broke everything, then Vaatix was the one who fixed everything.  I give that man, who I still associate with an image of Duke Nukem for reasons I cannot understand, my utmost respect as a forumer.

Goodbye, Vaatix, the Very Vivacious Visionary and Virally Vigilant administrator that you were and (I hope) will be in other endeavors.

He actually was a mentor to me though. :P Much like Mack, he taught me how to be an effective Admin, albeit a corrupt one.

He likes taking Albertans under his wing, it seems. But yes, Vaatix has shaped everyone as a mentor of sorts, but few of us had the chance to directly see him as such. It's an honor and a curse at the same time.
