So NSFCD is getting stale.

...Nothing really comes to mind, honestly. I have fun here right now, I see no problem.

Sure, we could use a bit more activity, but (this is gonna sound really retarded so brace yourself) we have each other, and at the moment, that's all that really matters. We all know each other, have fun on here, and that's the important part.

I'll see what I can do, but the issue is that my work schedule varies every week, and I won't have a solid one until I go back to school. That'll be September.
I can try to do it, I suppose.

Possible, if we can find a suitable host.
If you need a host, I'd be willing to help, and I'd take it seriously.
I'd get questions prepared prior to the game so we can keep a nice smooth flow.

I think the mods need to trust more than their immediate clique.
Now that could be offensive if taken out of context.

Since we are talking about Trivia, it would be a great way to make people keep coming back if every week a different person was given the chance to host.

If they couldn't make it a new one would be chosen etc.

So many users are simply not involved in anything except for posting, and the moderation staff does not post. So, forum wide contests, activities, etc. when implemented well could be a huge improvement.

I know we tried Camp NSFCD but in all honesty that was poorly planned time frame wise.

Changing subject matter, as many of the staff have suggested, will not help.
We are a general forum as it is, and we just happen to have boards for video games. There isn't much we can really change.

Really successful forums, for example AllisBrawl (based on member count and activity) work because they have a central theme and features that are implemented well. We are too small for a gimmicky shop, and unless we turn to  single subject matter there isn't much we can do.

We might have to be content with lasting one more year and then dieing out. Few forum last as long as we have anyway, especially after the Snorkle incident.

But whatever you guys do, get some intercourse ing conviction. Member of the Week lasted 2 weeks and then you guys quit. That is unacceptable.

we need a new (central) theme. nsider has gotten stale, in itself.
we need something new, to focus on a game or something like that. something for people to do that isn't just post random poop. also we probably need less boards for the number of active posters here, but that's just my opinion, I know i don't post much anymore.

Maybe we could get another contest (and finish it)?

Or we could make sigs for our Werewolf games that we do here? I really don't know.

How about getting the front page actually up again? Ya know, like we all said would happen two months ago? X_X:;

They took it down.

I'm waiting for Mack, Silver, etc. to get Skype and set a time and place to do it.
So, as usual, blame silver XD

Make JMV admin again.  Simple as that.

Sgt.Chilly

I move that we change the name to 'Internet Tough Guy Fight Club'.

I also second the motion because I can move through time, and myself from the past is here to help myself from the future, which is your present.

I believe we need to advertise by some means make possibly make a sig that can be post on other sites with a URL leading here? Silver could always make a signature for NSF to help advertise... and we need a group of people who could come up with topics... coughInsidechatcough

promote our gaming servers more (and bro night), set up a community based around that, convert this, charge for reserved slots for non-bros, bros being people who are regulars (meaning, if they want a reserved slot, or whatever benefit you decide for free, they must join and become a regular).  It would inject more activity into the community.

promote our werewolf-type RP games.

I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with you.  However, here is an example of a forum that has been around for YEARS with a fairly small userbase, with one single focus.  Metroid.

metroid2002.com/forum

They're focused (I used to be part of the site during the post-glory days (within a few months of Kip's 1:04 Metroid Prime), they love each other, they have their own memes, and the community stays alive because of their commitment to speedrunning and glitching the metroid titles.  When there's a lull of metroid games (like now), their userbase wanes, but they stay alive because Nate (the owner) pays for the site himself.  There's usually even something minor to talk about, and if there isn't, they call each other faggots on their well formed IRC channel.  If they're even more bored, they go to

speeddemosarchive.com

which, instead of being focused on metroid, is focused on speedrunning all officially made games (no flash games).  This is because SDA is more wide.  It is no less focused, but it has a larger userbase, and it helps that Radix (owner of SDA) is a good friend (e-friend) of Nate.  This is all because the two forums, although partners, have a focus.  Nobody on SDA runs Metroid stuff, because that's the domain of M2K2.

We could do something like this with NS2.  Put aside any petty differences we may have, and gain a partnership somehow.
