I like Pokemon or Final Fantasy, but the former would be a huge repellent to some of our members.

If it is Pokemon, I say we name each section of the forums after a region, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh.
Ranks should be based on characters/trainers. The mods would be Frontier Brains / Elite Four.

House and Mafia? We're a video game oriented forum. House and the mafia wouldn't really fit well.
I would love a Metroid theme. Along with an actual skin to go with it.
We're discussing changing the SMB3 theme and we still haven't gotten that SMB3 skin. D:
