However, keep Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, Metal Sonic.
The good characters.
add this to the list

and you have my word. with 2D poop they should really keep it down to a close minimum and with 3D poop only have 6 storylines (Like Sonic Adventure) at most, but with those six, actually keep them...Y'know...Doing platforming, not most of the time ships fishing and treasure hunting.

but I think if we're discussing on improving sonic, we shouldn't only be discussing characters. Unleashed had what, 5 plot important characters last I heard? It still was mediocre/sucked from what I've heard from most people.

3 of my friends smoke weed. Why? Well I asked one time, and this is what they said: "Because I can blow out smoke and it makes me feel like a intercourse ing dragon"

Cornwad

I think it looks pretty good. I'll probably buy it on the Xbox anyway though.

Looks awesome to be honest, and SEGA hasn't screwed up the 2D games yet.
But it's a direct sequel to Sonic 3 and Knuckles, a.k.a. the best Sonic game ever made, so it's got some BIG shoes to fill. I'm cautiously optimistic about the game.

SkyMyl

It's a sequel to Sonic 3!? Holy poop. Then again, Sonic 3 & Knuckles is the best Sonic game of the bunch, so it'll be difficult to top that. Especially after, I don't know, everything in the past ten years?

Also, why Episodes? I have never been a fan of buying (roughly) the same game three something times just to experience the whole package.

It's on the iPhone too. I guess they don't think the iPhone can handle it as one download.

Wait, it's an App? I didn't know that. D:

Thank you.

WiiWare might also be having significant size restrictions.

Sega has also made a poopty flash site for it: http://www.sonicthehedgehog4.com/us/
Click the Characters->Featured section. Notice the single black box next to Sonic? We apparently have two (maybe playable) characters. Hopefully it's Tails or Knuckles. Or it could be a space for Eggman as the main foe.
Quote from: that same character pageArmed with his signature Speed, super Spin Dash - and powerful Homing Attack
I don't believe homing attack was in the Genesis games, but it's nice to see they're not completely scrapping everything relatively new. Hopefully they keep it at just that.

Qsmash

I think Sonic 3D Blast was the only genesis game to have the homing attack with the golden sheild.

Also, the inclusion of the homing attack has caused a bit of an uproar. I see people saying that it isn't classic and that it's unnecessary for 2d sonic games.

Why don't we remove the spin dash too - after all, it didn't exist in Sonic 1, which apparently is what people want this game to be a clone of.

I'm great with the idea of returning to Sonic's roots, but all the classicfag complaints I've seen so far about this game are just ridiculous in my opinion. Being at least tiny bit different than the first game rather than an exact clone isn't something to whine about. I, personally, would rather not have the first stage of Sonic 4 be named exactly "Green Hill Zone", probably much unlike many others.

classicfag
1)Nope, moreso like Sonic 1-3, S&K, and TT.

2)It's not that that's the problem; It can be executed properly. I've heard about a Rom hack for Sonic 1 that implements the Homing Attack rather well. People are just probably worried because you could make the game a lot easier with that, but to be fair, the wall jump from 3D Mario games was in NSMB/Wii.

The only games where the homing attack made anything easier was in the 3D sonic games. I really don't see how making sonic lock on to an enemy 2 feet ahead of you in a 2D Sonic game makes anything easier. It just speeds up the process. Even in Sonic Rush (Adventure) Sonic couldn't use the homing attack on bosses, so I say it would be fair game.

and the homing attack in that game put in full speed mode as soon as you hit the ground which is pretty fast. Let's just hope they execute it right.

TT?

The people who I've seen complain to extremes like that about things not being classic enough seem usually to include having ANY additional character, including Tails or Knuckles, who existed in most of those. Still classicfag either way with such silly complaints.

I've also seen a ton of comments already whining about the video and audio not being limited to 16-bit capabilities. If that's not ridiculous fandom, I don't know what is.
