How do you earn money?

I rarely earn my own money. If I do, it's an allowance for doing chores, which almost never happens.
Usually I just get my money from birthdays, Christmas, etc.

I SHOULD be getting $10 a week for allowance, but for some reason my parents often forget. I can't remind them, or they get mad and don't give me anything. :/

I never got allowance as a kid.

I started at JCPenney ten days after I turned 16, worked there through the rest of high school, and I still go back every Christmas and summer. While at school, I qualify for work-study, and I work primarily as a stir fry chef.

Once I'm done with college, what I'm immediately going to be doing depends on whether or not I get into grad school. If I do, it's considered a full-time job on its own, and I would at most be spending a few hours a week acting as a TA for undergrad Asian culture courses. If I don't make the cut, I'll probably be Penney's for another year, although I'll be a college graduate and have over 5 years of retail experience by that point, so I'll also probably shop around for a supervisory-level position.

Whenever my grandma visits (or I visit her, which is more likely) she gives me $20. That's sort of like my allowance. So I make $20 a month or so. Over the Summer I'll be working at a camp like I do every year. I could use a job, but I'm spending all my extra time doing driving stuff so I don't have time for one right now.

My mama and dad never gave me an allowance, so I got really stingy with money I got birthdays and Christmas. Then whenever I saw change on the floor I picked it up (giant crayon bank is heavy as hell now). Sometimes my granny will randomly send me money, and I'd get stingy with that too... But as of 20 minutes ago, I work at White Castle, so now my pay comes from there.
