That blew my mind when I saw that release date near the end of 2011.  I mean, really, I was expecting to play and enjoy The Grinder sometime this year alongside other great game, probably around Fall time, but seriously, near the end of 2011?  Wow.  And that's assuming the game doesn't receive any more delays.  At a rate like that, The Grinder might not even be competing against Left 4 Dead 2.  It will be competing against Left 4 Dead 3.  >.<

Still, I think it looks like it might be an interesting game worth taking a look at if the going multi-platform doesn't screw the quality of the game, but now if I do still plan on buying it, I will have to decide between the Wii, PC, or maybe even the XBOX 360 version of the game.  Well, at least I'll have TWO FRICKEN' YEARS to make up my mind...
Two years is just a crazy amount of time. When you push a game back a full year, that means perfection better be the case. And I don't think HVS has perfection in them.

They said the Conduit was going to be great and such. Turned out to be a terribly average if at all fps that doesn't do anything unique or fun compared to the dozens of other games that do it better.

So yea...

What makes me laugh is when The Grinder was first announced, HVS said that the game was inspired by Left 4 Dead and its team cooperation aspect between the four players, and that it would be a kind of L4D game for the Wii Console, which was lacking its own version of the game or any such game like it.  Now they decide to expand the game to multi-platform, opening it up to other consoles but at the same time forcing their game to go up against heavy-hitters like L4D2 and even several other FPS games?  I think it would have been best to have kept The Grinder Wii-exclusive, because unless they pull off some insane amount of miracle on all versions of the game to make it stand out amongst the crowd, I would think that the extra time and money it costs them to go multi-platform would hurt them more if the game sells badly on all platforms against selling badly on one platform.

I will still be giving this game a chance, though, because I do think it has some potential to turn out to be a good or even great game if developed properly.  It's just a shame that I can see no incentive as of yet to get the Wii version of the game when the PC version will be right there next to it.

...But seriously... two years...?
