Well, after all the good Halo games, it seems as if the trilogy is starting to get old. Right after ODST came out, it was nothing special compared to the other Halo games. All they did was add a new suit to the character and two new weapons. Now, they are coming out with Reach, and that kinda makes me think, "I hope it won't be like ODST." Seriously, I think Bungie needs to roll out a new idea for a game because the Halo theme is becoming pretty old and not getting as much attention.

Well, what do you guys think?

Turok

Well to be fair, Bungie said from the get-go that ODST was going to be an expansion. Although I don't know why no one remembers that, they kept saying it the whole time.

I think all the things that are being added to Reach are enough to make it fresh (-er than the last 2 anyway) The class abilities, cloaking, sprint. Along with the supposed tactical team based combat it should make for a better game than ODST. I know I'm getting it anyway  8)

And to be completely fair, Bungie is no longer making games in the Halo series. I believe that 'Studio (insert numbers here I don't remember)' is making them. I think that Bungie sold the rights to Microsoft. I might be wrong on some of this, or all of it, but that is what I've heard.

Oh Vesperia, never change... never change

Yes Microsoft is working with the game developement, but Bungie still holds the franchise cover. They still own the Halo series makings, but they are in partnership with Microsoft.

The last Bungie developed Halo game will be Reach. Another studio will take over the Halo franchise after that game is released.

Let me make a prediction, the last level of the campaign will be a daring escape on a warthog while reach is being glassed  :|

Yeah, bungie needs to stop making halo games

Actually, I wouldn't mind this. The ending escapes always make Halo worth it. I think it's the funnest part. I really disliked the ending of Halo 2 because of the final fight.

They've only done that twice.

besides, You play as a random Spartan.
and they all die. except for the Cheif.

All I know is that I'm getting it. If it isn't good, heh, at least I'm supporting the last Bungie-Halo game. But that may be a bust, because I was also going to buy Halo Wars to support Ensemble, but that never happened.

The trailer looks pretty good though. So we'll see.

Chris8492

Halo Wars was nothing special to me. It was just more strategic

Yeah, but I loved Ensemble Studios, and I wanted to thank them somehow for making kick ass games for years. Then I decided not to waste my money on a mediocre game by their standards.

this is why poop games based on good games do good.

ODST was an expansion. Bungie is still frustrated with Microsoft over the retail release of ODST if I'm not mistaken. Don't blame the developer when its the greedy corporations fault for why we judge the expansion as a separate game.

At any rate, watch this: http://kotaku.com/5470499/halo-reach-is-a-more-human-halo-story

The graphics and mechanics looks insane compared to Halo 3's.

Chris8492

The graphics are 100 times better than halo 3 and Odst. I still think this may be the last of the Halo trilogy. They are adding soo much more to it. newer weapons and it looks like you can drive in non military domestic vehicles

Triforceman22

You can finally sprint now.
Thank god.

The levels and scenery and all-around graphics look gorgeous.

This is the Halo iv'e been waiting for.
