I like the support for Shakespeare Week, but I still can't picture how it'd work.
The point of Theme Week is to boost activity and discussion, and I can only see Shakespeare discussion going so far...
Maybe if we include Star Fox since all the planets are named for Shakespeare's work? Nah...
I don't know, I just don't see it being too big.

NES Week would work well, as would Band/Musician Week... World War NSFCD will be huge if it works out right... but I just can't see Shakespeare working.

Sorry I missed that. It could work, but some of our  users aren't into RPGs. Granted, that could be said for any theme I throw at them, some people don't like NES; some people don't like Horror stuff, etc, but whatever.
I'll keep it in mind for a future theme week. :)

I know this is a video game forum, but I'd like it if not too many of these themes were video game centric. It's a way to promote discussion but also a way to break from the norm for a week.

If you want something to break away then I advise something topical which we'll all discuss anyways. It's kind of why my vote went to band - I mean come on, who here doesn't listen to music?

It seems every other time I pop into IRC, there is a band discussion, and a floated thread called WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO.  How often do we discuss Shakespeare.  Huh?  How often, Tk?  HUH?  ANSWER ME!

well I don't go on IRC but I don't see it much on the forums.

Through If we're going as broad as having something plain called "Band Week" I'd be fine with a Book Week. None of you would ever guess who I'd be ;3

Shakespeare has such a wide catalogue to work on its own that it isn't funny. In terms of discussion, there is...

favorite piece
shakespeare crossover (Macbeth meets Othello. What next?!)
And of course, any analysis on pieces...is hamlet a mysoginist? Yes or no?

How about a Serious Discussion about Hamlet or Macbeth's innocence/guilt? Movie adaptation discussion.

There is a ton to go with.
