Super Street Fighter's New Character

Capcom was nice enough to send me some information about their newest character in SF...unfortunately, I couldn't log into the press site (something on my end?). But hey, someone else posted some info up....

He's an Oil Fighter....basically a sumo that does a lot more when he greases himself up. He looks pretty badass, and it's definitely the most original thing I've seen in some time. What do you think of Hakan? Who is your favorite SF character?

Anyway, I think it's pretty interesting. I recall a fighter with a similar gimmick, except I can't remember who it was.

Charlie is pretty badass. He can survive being shot by a helicopter off a waterfall.

Hakan's all lubed up and ready to squirt, and my favorite street fighter would probably have to be Guy or Cody.

He looks like he's going to be the best new character in SSF4 from what I've seen. He's like Zangief mixed with Blanka. He has some pretty daughters too. Dan is the best Street Fighter character hands down. I hear he's been buffed in Super. He's probably better than Guile and Fei Long now.

If you're talking tiers...Dan is at the bottom of every SFIV list I've seen. Fei Long is pretty low and Guile is at the top of the some bracket that Fei is in. So honestly, if you're comparing them to those three, you're insulting Hakan. lol.

Again, I main Cammy, who is frequently placed at the bottom of the same bracket that Fei and Guile are in and I kick total ass with her, especially against Zangief players.

You'll see that everything is a little..thrown out of place since late October of last year. Akuma got a boost and Vega was thrown downward.

Back to my point though: Dan is terribad.

Wow, that's definitely the most original character (in SF) I've seen. but I can't play grapplers too well.

I'm gonna have to go with Gouki as my favorite Street Fighter character.
But Terry Bogard is the best

Guile is generally considered to be the worst non-Dan character at this point, and he isn't going to be any better in Super. The best thing  he gets is sunglasses, and Fei Long doesn't even get that. Almost everyone else is getting new tools, and Dan in particular is getting a lot. Bigger Gadoken range and a comboable ultra? Sounds good to me.

Despite his tier list placing, he has the most style.

Style? That's purely subjective. Still, I like Dan and would hate to see him get worse. So I welcome the buffs.

Depends on how you're using that word. If you're talking tiers, then no, it isn't. Careful analysis and blatant OP traits bring Sagat to the top of every tier list, making the word objective. If you're talking favorites then yeah, totally.

Yuri & Joe from King of Fighters come to mind. Same with Shingo. Not Street Fighter, but still.

Shingo is the only joke character out of those three.

I don't really mind the buffs. Chances are the buffs won't make that much of a difference anyways.
