Bored was trying to steal our thunder. I suppose there is no set tradition on who wishes the site a Merry Christmas (inclusive of other holidays), but it just seems right to me that either Silver or I do it, too.

In fact, this is a message more or less to end the year off and usher in a new one...another breach of tradition. You see, 2010 has been a revolutionary year for NSFCD. It is my opinion that this marks the year we truly found our stride. We found an identity of sorts that is uniquely ours.

We've always been a site that innovates, but within the confines of being another NSider rip-off. This year, I think, with few exceptions, we have grown beyond that model and into something else. Something that suits us quite nicely.

It has not been easy. For many of our long time users, such as Mystic or Java, some of these changes will be kind of shocking. In a sweeping administrative decision made only by Silver and myself, we released staff by the wayside and cut our totals to all time lows. Something we never had the confidence to do prior.

And this was a year of apprehension, as we welcomed OLF back into our family, albeit rebranded as Area 6. It, too, has had a tumultuous year. Perhaps the huge change, the granddaddy of change, was that Silver and I announced that we would not be focusing solely on NSFCD (leaving Bored to fill in during any absences) and instead opt to launch websites such as SHH MOM.

These decisions -- and there were many more -- have not been easy ones for Silver nor myself. We are committed to seeing NSFCD live. To thrive. But our understanding of what NSFCD is has greatly evolved over the past year. For those of you here to see this post now, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your commitment.

NSFCD is the sum of its parts. Without you, Silver and I have nothing. You have made this our home. We all too often qualify that statement by saying "on the internet", as well. But believe me when I say that you are all just as important to us as those we interact with on a daily basis in person.

With 2011 just around the corner, I am sad to say that we have no huge plans for rejuvenating the site. There are no awe inspiring feature returns, like NFES, or anything of the sort planned. Huge contests and the like aren't thought up, and there is no plan for an activity rush in March with an elusive prize to be found (it's still there, by the way). 2011 comes with a maturity of thought.

I invite you all to join Silver and I on this journey: a journey played by ear and off the beaten path. It's going to be one hell of a ride.

On behalf of Mr. Aaron Hudspeth and myself, I wish you the Merriest of Christmases, and the best year of your life (to date) in 2011.

Merry Christmas, you guys. This will sound retardedly cheesy, but one of the best Christmas presents is just knowing this site still exists, along with you guys.

Merry Christmas everyone, though i'm just barely a day late.
I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

Oops, I meant to say why.

Mystic's present was best because his was actually in a box, everyone else just kinda put it on the thread like lazy bums.
