September 17th, 2007.

Does that date sound familiar to any of you? I know it's a date I'll never forget: the date Nintendo closed its Nsider forums.

It's a sad thing to say but, at the time, said forums were most definitely a home away from home. I met a lot of great people on NSider that I'd not have met otherwise. The closure of those forums devastated me. Then NSFCD opened up.

NSFCD was a continuation of what I loved. But it was also an evolution. That always stuck with me.

You no doubt know me as the person that always pushed the site; always hoped for something more. Optimistic would be the term.

That optimism for the future of this community is gone. That's not a bad thing at all. I have come to accept NSFCD for what it is in the last year: just that, a community. I'm no longer a super active poster -- many of you are not, either.

But that's ok. Contacting you both on and off the forums, I've learned a lot. What Silver has accomplished, no, what we all have accomplished, is creating relationships that will last a long time. Some will end prematurely as well come and go our separate ways; for some of you, those relations will be with you forever. And we've certainly made lots of memories here that I know I won't ever forget.

What NSFCD is today is something many other sites can't claim to be: a true community. We love each other and we hate each other. But at the end of the day, we all associate ourselves with one another. We are, and always will be, NSFCD.

Thanks for being here with us,

Aaron and Kyle

Four years already? It doesn't feel like that long but I still miss NSider from time to time. :(
I really hate how I've made more than 12,000 posts here. Thankfully this swaying, moving Chandelure makes it all worth it.

Fuck. I didn't know that I've been on and off here for four years. I didn't even use NSider...

It's indeed been a long and...interesting road, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you all.

I miss Oldsider... lots of activity, fun ranking-up system. The only thing I still don't get is why they closed it at the PEAK of activity. Did they just get too overwhelmed modding and decide to quit instead of hiring people?

You know what. As a celebration I want my moderator position back. Administrator will work just as well if you feel like moderator would be inappropriate.
