Starting roster and gameplay videos released!

After watching those videos, the speed hasn't seemed to change much. Link seems to have gotten a little faster (he deserves it, lol), and Samus didn't really change much... Of course since they're obviously terrible players, we only saw a few attacks used, un-fastfallen, un-L Cancelled (if it exists), and without other mechanics used to speed up gameplay. Also it seems to me that people die pretty easily.

OMFG @ Metaknight, he's so epically fast, can fly, is strong and has range. o.O

The videos are nice and all, but I guess I won't get a good representation of the characters until either I get to play with them myself or the pro Smash community gets their hands on them.

So we know that the fire stage in the trailer yesterday was Norfair, Jill is an Assist Trophy, entrances are back and the end of Castle Siege is lava. Cool. :)

Sonic will probably be without a doubt a starter. A lot of people will buy the game wanting to play as Sonic first off, and Nintendo doesn't want to turn them away.
