From Intelligent Systems comes Nintendo's next new IP, a hybrid third-person shooter/turn-based strategy in the vein of XCOM and Valkyria Chronicles.

At the turn of the 20th century, a horde of Lovecraftian aliens invades a comic book-styled London, England. The world's only hope is S.T.E.A.M., an elite steampunk swat team led by former President Abraham Lincoln and consisting of American fictional characters from late 19th to early 20th century literature and folklore, including Henry Flemming, John Henry, Tiger Lily, and the cast of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

The demo came out on eShop earlier this week! Anyone else tried it yet? I think it's a blast, not to mention refreshingly original and pretty hilarious. My one complaint is that the enemy turns take way, way too long.

Tupin

Please a way to skip/speed-up enemy turns

other than that it's fun

This just kind of looked (and played, from what I saw in the demo) like Babby's First X-Com. I don't get how this is an "original IP." It's like the inverse of those people who make blatant clones of Nintendo games on other systems.
