last year people who passed the end of year test could go outside on the picnic tables and enjoy 2 hot dogs for free, some people even got 4

and today the people who passed the first six weeks get to stay the whole 7 period in the cafeteria to enjoy some ice cream

Yeah, when I perfected one of my practice proficiency tests in 4th grade I didn't have to take the real thing :D. Then again I have to sit with a bunch of idiots who only got advances and we were being read books by our principal. O_o That was it.

We get a picnic day every year?  Our school does well in testing so we don't need incentives.

As for material rewards, no we never get those.

I got a scholarship to any public college in Massachusetts because I had gotten advanced on both the Math and English sections of the MCAS(Massachusetts state subsidized tests), a bunch of other people got it though too.

I was 3 points away from a perfect score on the math section.  >:(

People who got the highest marks in one of english classes in High School were given a small chocolate bar. It was a nice incentive. ^_^
