Ryan looked at Tsume, his Sharingan still spinning inside of his eyes. he didn't know why, but he felt as if he were pulling something from her when he looked at her. Quickly looking away, the feeling vanishing along with it, he said. "Fine.."

A gentle breeze blew towards everyone as the Wind Sharingan turned off. "..Are you okay?" he asked Tsume and Braig.

Tsume suddenly felt a sharp stinging pain in her chest as Ryan's eyes met hers. She winced slightly, clutching her hand against her chest for a moment or two. But, as soon as she pulled her eyes away from him, the pain started to subside, and she looked back to Ryan, though avoiding eye contact.

"Y-yeah... I'm fine." she replied.

"Protecting you? You're the one that saved me when he was cutting open my neck. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be standing here. You have my deepest gratitude." Braig said, giving a bow with his last words.

"..." Ryan back away, unused to such respect. He was at a loss for words. "I..y-you're welcome," he said. "I-I'm glad everyone's okay..." He looked around everyone, a small smile coming to his lips..maybe he had finally found friends...

((Alrighty, the squads have been made! XD Time-skip proceeding))

-------- The next morning -----------

"Ryan..."

Ryan looked around wildly, hearing the voice mixing with the sound of birds chirping. "W-who's there?" He turned his head to the sound of bushes rustling, seeing Kakashi standing there, two headbands in his hand. One of them was tossed to Ryan.

Catching it, Ryan said, "...I thought-?"
"Yes, I know. I heard about last night..and after talking it over with a few other people, we've decided that you pass," Kakashi said.

"T-thank you..sensei," Ryan said, wide-eyed.
Kakashi chuckled. "Yes, yes. Now, get to school. We have to announce the squads. I'm going to go find Braig."

Kakashi vanished.

Braig was sitting on the window-sill of his bedroom like he did every morning, twirling his hair around his finger.

Tsume woke up surprisingly early the next day, slightly excited that she was going to be assigned into her official Genin squad. She sat up and got dressed rather quickly, Ikamaru joining her inside her sweatshirt's hood once she was done. After getting ready, make-up and all this time, she exited her house and, as usual, lept up to her roof, and started to roof-hop towards the Academy, where she would be assigned to her squad.

Quickly putting his headband on, wearing it so that it served as a forehead protector, Ryan made a head-long dash for the academy. For the first time since he could remember, he was excited.

The excitement seemed to grow as Tsume neared the Academy. She pressed off against each roof harder, making her strides longer and her roof-hopping faster. Tsume finally arrived at the Academy, and as she entered through the door, she saw Ryan approaching. Though, making sure she wouldn't be making eye-contact, nevertheless, she gave him a smile before entering the building.

Ryan stopped once Tsume smiled at her, and that odd feeling he had gotten before from watching her jumping roofs came back up. He felt awkward, someone actually smiling at him. He usually got the reverse..maybe finally things would look up for him now.

Now walking, he entered the academy, heading for his classroom.

Braig watched Asumi jump past his house. He made no attempt to get her attention today. He woul likely not see her now that she was a shinobi. Braig heard a voice. He looked behind him to see Kakashi standing there.
