I really did not want to have to buy another DS. They better not come out with a new system the year after it comes out. I don't think my launch model DS Lite complete with the infamous cosmetic hinge crack will bring in much money to buy a DSi, though.  =(

You guys should restrict the name change to once a month, or something to that effect.

In all practicality, I'm pretty sure it's impossible as far as we're concerned.
The SMF ACP has no such feature to time-restrict things like that and it would take quite a bit of php scripting to implement a time limit like that. It's enough of a change to warrant a mod, but I don't think any mod makers have bothered to make anything like it yet.
