News flash: Lucky Star is massively overrated. Most of the jokes are not even suited for American audiences, and the ones that are aren't even funny. It's boring. It provides minimal lulz, and since that what it aimed for, it provides nothing else either.

Let me just say that Lucky Star was the anime that got me into watching regular anime so it's kind of a milestone for me.  But besides that, I found LS immensely enjoyable.  It's a slice of life seinen, and a somewhat "different" one at that, so I know a lot of ppl don't like it because it's not "exciting enough" or "nothing happens" or "it's boring."  Some ppl (like me) like to watch anime girls talking about food for 10 minutes.  I think LS is kinda like that show "Curb your Enthusiasm."  You have to like that situational, pointless comedy that comes with this strain of slice of life.

For the video game character, see Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic hedgehog homolog (SHH) is one of three proteins in the mammalian hedgehog family, the others being desert hedgehog (DHH) and Indian hedgehog (IHH). SHH is the best studied ligand of the hedgehog signaling pathway. It plays a key role in regulating vertebrate organogenesis, such as in the growth of digits on limbs and organization of the brain. Sonic hedgehog is the best established example of a morphogen as defined by Lewis Wolpert's French flag model - a molecule that diffuses to form a concentration gradient and has different effects on the cells of the developing embryo depending on its concentration. SHH remains important in the adult. It controls cell division of adult stem cells and has been implicated in development of some cancers.
