Hey, Not Silverhawk79! The countdown has started. The countdown for what, you might ask? The countdown until we upgrade to IPB 3.0.5. Over the course of the past few weeks, the administration (in reality, more Shrimpkid and Eric, in conjunction with the CrowdGather technical team) have been hard at work, slaving away in order to get the new system completely functional. We go live in five. Days, that is. The site will transition over to the IPB 3.0.5 system sometime on Tuesday, May 25th. We do not have a set hour for when this procedure will take place, but keep in mind that day that there will be some server downtime. If I am notified ahead of time as to what time this will happen, I will pass the message along to everyone here. A few things you might notice once this upgrade goes live: * Skins have been completely redone to work with IPB 3.0.5. Which skins will carry over? That, my friends, is a surprise. * The market has been completely formatted in order to work with IPB 3.0.5. As Shrimp has pointed out to those who use the market, the ability to sell items through user stores and transfer items between one another has been removed by the market creators, and we are at this point unsure of whether or not there will be an upgrade to the market to reincorporate those features back into the main system. * Users will no longer have a warn bar. What could this mean? This will be announced in conjunction with the site transition, but I have a feeling that it will be something that everyone will enjoy. * The PBS feature has been removed from forum view and will no longer be utilized as a functional part of NSider2. It had a good run, but to my knowledge, it is not supported on IPB 3.0.5. * Unfortunately, the awards system will be completely wiped as a result of this upgrade. Shrimp has willingly offered her services to help bring the awards back, but this will take a few days to do, so please be patient. Disclaimer: Pictures of your own awards are not productive at all. We (she) will get it done when we (she) get it done. * The links in any posts from before the upgrade will be broken; we are aware of this. We will be spending a few days after the upgrade working on a way to resolve this. By broken, we are referring to all of the current BBcoding, which is going to make everything posted prior to the upgrade something akin to a mess of all messes. * The arcade is still being worked on, but we are hoping that we will be able to complete it before the upgrade. Please, keep in mind that there is no guarantee that we will be able to get the arcade to work with IPB 3.0.5, and as such, we ask that you remain patient while we work on it. * You will not be able to reply to any PMs from before the upgrade as they will be under a different coding. However, you should still be able to read them. Nonetheless, try not to get too deep into a conversation that you can't just pick it up where you left off once the upgrade is complete. Or, if it really does come to that, just ask you friend what you were talking about. * It is possible that after we put the upgrade into the live version of the forums, that users' avatars and personal photos will be wiped. If this happens, please attempt to re-upload an avatar and personal photo on your own before contacting an administrator. With this being said, we have five days left on IPB 2.3.6. To some, this thread may seem pointless to announce since there really is nothing changing as of now; this thread is merely serving as a heads up to some of the major changes taking place, and when they will be implemented.
