My solution? No. It requires give and take but once you give enough what you take is very much so worth it.

Oh, yeah. There were spambots everywhere yesterday and today.
I think I pointed out a few to Mack and Silver.

I think part of it might have been on my end. Did some modifications to registration and (hopefully) got a stronger CAPTCHA system in place, but I need to make sure it's actually working.

There's actually a strong program out there somewhere that enables Spambots to ignore CAPTCHA.
So that might be it also.
They're actually becoming more intelligent with bypassing security measures.
